Mariana Garcia is a videographer, photographer, and writer from Sacramento, California. She is a recent graduate from UC Berkeley where she majored in political science, and minored in Spanish and journalism. She is currently reporting as an intern for Mission Local covering immigration in San Francisco.
She was previously a visuals intern at The Sacramento Bee, shooting and editing photos and videos on fast-paced deadlines. She also pitched and produced on-camera explainers in English and Spanish for the publication’s social media channels.
In 2024, Mariana interned with the Los Angeles Dodgers as a video production intern for LA Dodgers Productions. In this role, she interviewed Dodger players, alumni, staff, and LA community members to tell visual stories of the historic organization and its members, both on and off the field.
Mariana also has experience working with clients at Nike, Calm, and Hallmark as a professional voice actor.
